Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I am a big fan of the crispy fried chicken that you find on the streets all over Bangkok. But, after discovering Bonchon, I have started to fix more and more of my crispy chicken cravings there. Located on floor 5 of the San Francisco level of Terminal 21, Bonchon offers delicious crispy Korean BBQ chicken in a somewhat fast food format and at reasonable prices. There has been adequate seating at the various times I have been there, unlike several of the nearby restaurants. For Mall dining at Terminal 21 I now rate Bonchon as my favorite place."
"Overall, everything was fine. The only issue was the service taking orders felt quite slow. It didn’t happen to my table, but I noticed the foreign table next to us waiting for a long time, and they looked quite frustrated while waiting for staff to come and take their order. The food was good and consistent with Bonchon’s standard, just like other branches around Bangkok."
"Nice korean fried chicken place at Terminal 21. We ordered a 4-piece fried boneless chicken thigh, a beef bibimbop and wanted to order a tofu salad but they ran out of tofu so we ordered the fried chicken salad instead. The fried chicken thigh was quite crispy on the outside but tender and soft on the inside. But the fried chicken breast in the salad was so dry we couldn't finish. The bibimbop was quite okay. Prices are alright for Korean food in this mall. Around 400 baht per head."
"Bonchan No.1 Korean Chicken: The "Once in a Blue Moon" Treat We Loved We initially walked into Bonchan aiming for the convenient set meal, but after glancing at the menu and seeing what was popular, we quickly pivoted to try their signature "favorite" chicken—and we are so glad we did! The chicken truly lives up to its reputation. It was crispy, incredibly flavorful, and perfectly sauced (not soggy!). Honestly, the moment we tasted it, we knew we had made the right call. It was so delicious, in fact, that we immediately ordered a second round for the table. This is high praise, especially since we generally encourage our kids to avoid deep-fried food for health reasons. This was definitely a rare and absolutely worthwhile "once in a blue moon" indulgence. Beyond the main attraction, the sides were equally impressive. We particularly enjoyed the Clay Pot Rice. It was perfectly cooked, comforting, and packed with flavor—a fantastic complement to the rich chicken. Bonchan No.1 Korean Chicken offers a seriously addictive fried chicken experience that is tough to beat. If you're looking for quality, authentic Korean flavor, don't hesitate to give their favorite chicken a try. Overall Rating: 5-5 ..Highly Recommended! What a pleasant surprise as I was given a big soft chicken toy as a gift by the staff. Thank you very much Bonchon Staff. What beautiful memories to take back to Kathmandu."
"i visited the restaurant a bit early than dinner time, so no waiting but doesn't mean many vacant seats, in fact, all seats filled after i sat down for awhile, the food took sometime to come, i ordered seafood soondubu for 279 bahts, ordered one oyster set of 4 pieces on top, cold barley drinks and japanese rice, they have sticky rice too, the soup only a little bit spicy with kimchi, i think it is value for money, the rice came in a metal bowl which is hot, in fact be careful eating in korean restaurant, seems they like to use metal utensils, eg for hotpot, no service charge, only VAT"
"First thing I noticed was the food was not hot, just warm. Not sure why. Besides that the crispy squid was good. The beef bulgogi rice dish with egg was ok. The music is way too loud. I am Korean and the food was ok. If you are wanting Korean, then go to Korea town down the street on sukhumvit. For the price, it is not bad for food."
"Ordered a combo with drum sticks and wings, mixed sauce, and a fried squid. The fried chicken is very good, very crispy skin and the garilic sauce is a bit sweet and tasty. Fried squid is just okay though, I think it should come with the same garlic sauce however it used cheese powder. The peach lemonade is too sweet to me, don't recommend to anyone who doesn't love sweet tea."
"First time trying Korean chicken, and it was amazing! We ordered the large (18 pieces), and the honey chicken flavor was incredible. The spicy option, however, was extremely spicy... so even if you like spicy food, be prepared for a serious kick. We also ordered gyoza, which was crispy and delicious, and chicken fries. Their sauce was fantastic. Service was perfect! I would definitely come back, but I’d skip the spicy chicken next time!"
